- 1982 Taught myself dBASEII and programmed an inventary system for the earth station equipment. At the same time, got myself acquainted with VisiCalc, a spreadsheet application running under the CP/M 2.2 operating system.
- 1989 Taught myself to get acquainted with the HP4195 Network/Spectrum Analyzer and programmed a measuring system with an adaptive low pass filter to automatically measure the carrier to noise ratio (c/n) of SCPC systems accessing different satellites automatically. Was in service for 10 years.

- 1993 Telecommunications English, Intermediate Course in Technical English by PTT (in-house).
- 1997 Finished and made Year-2000 compatible an electronic logbook programmed by a student (diploma project) in (Visual BASIC) on my own.
